3 NLTKD students attended the last Black belt grading held in Derby last Sunday. The examining panel consisted of Master Tony Sewell (Derby) – 7th Dan, Master George Cockburn (Leicester) – 7th Dan, Mr Francis Plunkett (Ireland) – 6th Dan, Mr Gordon Slater (Essex) – 6th Dan, Mr. Paresh Bhadeshia (Cheltenham) -5th Dan of the GTI and they were successful. Jessica Onipede – 1st Dan (Junior)
Daniel Connolly-Taylor – 1st Dan (Junior)
Kasper Grzeszczyk – 1st Dan (Junior)
They have shown great maturity and attitude long before there grading and have been a joy to teach and I am very proud of them all. They will be formally awarded there certificates this Thursday, 15 October by Mr Gordon Slater, 6th Dan. Mr Slater is the South East Regional Co-ordinator of the GTI and was an ex-North London Taekwondo student under Mr. Taylor. Therefore I would like everyone to attend this Thursday lesson to join me in congratulating the 3 new Black belts
