GTI British Open Tournament 2017

The GTI invite all ITF based Tae Kwon Do schools to join us at the GTI British Open Tournament on 5th November 2017 at

Venue: Cheltenham Leisure Centre, Tommy Taylor’s Lane, Cheltenham GL50 4RN.

Events will include:
– Patterns
– Point-stop sparring (for yellow/green belt juniors only)
– Continuous sparring (for all other juniors and adults)

Categories will include Juniors, Adults and Veterans (age 40+) divisions

All entries will be processed online via www.gti.wiredma.com

GTI Instructors Course

a GTI Instructors Course is just around the corner with Mr Bhadeshia on Sunday 10th September at Belvidere School in Shrewsbury from 11am to 4pm.

The course cost is open to students interested in helping other students progress in their Taekwondo. For example, this includes adult blue belts and above who may be helping out with juniors in your club, or 16/17 year old black belts interested in “learning the ropes”.

Assistant Instructors who may be left unsupervised to conduct a lesson require insurance and need to be 18+ years old.

Another positive aspect of completing the course includes:

  • Developing understanding of TKD through teaching
  • Having a great talking point in job interviews
  • Enhancing CVs or College Applications

GTI Summer Camp 2017

The North London Taekwondo are part of the Global Tae Kwon-Do International (GTI). The GTI provides, tournaments, International competition opportunities, Black belt grading, seminars and much more for the NLTKD club members to enjoy as part of their memberships of the NLTKD 

The GTI are hosting a summer camp from July 22 2017. last year 3 NLTKD students attended and found it good fun. lots of details are on the Facebook even site at

All GTI members are welcome at our 2017 Summer Camp!

This year’s summer camp will take place at the same location as last year’s. The format will be similar but with a bit more downtime. The schedule is still to be confirmed but last year’s included flexible strength, training, boxing, ringcraft, TKD drills, yoga, crossfit, kickboxing and psychology of winning.

Overnight spaces are limited to about 20 people and (Saturday) day passes will be available.

The cost for two nights, various coaching, Saturday breakfast/lunch and Sunday breakfast will be £90. Please make payment to Squad Coach Jasper Chow: either by bringing £50 deposit to the GTI 100 Rounds of Sparring event on 25th June. Or by arranging payment with him directly (or via your instructor).

GTI South East Pre-Grading (London)

Just prior to every Black belt grading we like to invite ALL taekwondo student from Black Tag and above to a Black Belt training session. This give all current and future Black belts the oppurtunity to train together. Also to sharpen up the  the skills of those about to take the Dan grading.
