Black Belts Grading – May 2010

4 NLTKD students attended the last Black belt grading held in Normanton Derby on Sunday 9 May 2010. The examining panel consisted of Master Tony Sewell (Derby) – 7th Dan, Master George Cockburn (Leicester) – 7th Dan, Mr Francis Plunkett (Ireland) – 6th Dan, Mr Gordon Slater (Essex) – 6th Dan, Mr. Paresh Bhadeshia (Cheltenham) -5th Dan of the GTI and they were successful. Results are

Mr Biodun Sean Onipede – 3rd Dan
Mr Francois Onawelho-Loren – 2nd Dan
Mr Steven Henry – 1st Dan
Mr Karman Ikram – 1st Dan (Junior)

As instructor, it is difficult to find time to ensure I continue my own training, but with the rising number of Black Belts in the NLTKD, I have created Black belt only sessions once a week to ensure, I and all Assistant Instructors get training time to develop ourselves.

Spring Coloured Belt Grading – March 2010

35 NLTKD students attended the Quarterly Coloured Belt Gradings, for student from White to Red belts. This was held for first time at new venue, Gladesmore Community School. The grading was conducted by Master Tony Sewell, 7th Dan. All students passed.

Winter Coloured Belt Grading – December 2009

20 NLTKD students attended the Coloured Belt Grading, held at Cann Hall Methodist Church, Leytonstone, London. The grading was conducted by Mister Gordon Slater (South East Regional Co-ordinator) 6th Dan. All students passed.

Black Belts Grading – October 2009

3 NLTKD students attended the last Black belt grading held in Derby last Sunday. The examining panel consisted of Master Tony Sewell (Derby) – 7th Dan, Master George Cockburn (Leicester) – 7th Dan, Mr Francis Plunkett (Ireland) – 6th Dan, Mr Gordon Slater (Essex) – 6th Dan, Mr. Paresh Bhadeshia (Cheltenham) -5th Dan of the GTI and they were successful. Daniel Connolly-Taylor – 1st Dan (Junior)
Kasper Grzeszczyk – 1st Dan (Junior)

They have shown great maturity and attitude long before there grading and have been a joy to teach and I am very proud of them all. They will be formally awarded there certificates this Thursday, 15 October by Mr Gordon Slater, 6th Dan. Mr Slater is the South East Regional Co-ordinator of the GTI and was an ex-North London Taekwondo student under Mr. Taylor. Therefore I would like everyone to attend this Thursday lesson to join me in congratulating the 3 new Black belts
