Being a Red Belts, you have done all the hard work and know all the basic of being a Black Belt in Taekwondo. You should have competed in at least 3 tournaments in either sparring or patterns.
We expect a lot of maturity, humility and discipline. We also expect you to have a Black Belt attitude.
At this point the student wanting to be a Black belt should know what is expected of him and what he needs to do to be called a Black Belt.
The Black belt grading is held by the GTI currently in Derby. You need to have attended 3 pre-gradings.
- 1st pre-grading is held at a coloured belts grading around 4-5 month before the Dan grading
- 2nd pre-grading is held at a coloured belts grading around 1-2 month before the Dan grading
- 3rd pre-grading is held with other Black belts at a special pre-grading about 1-2 before the Dan grading
PLEASE CHECK WITH THE INSTRUCTOR TO ENSURE YOU ARE ON TRACK AS THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THE ABOVE.
