New Black Belts

  Sunday 18 October 2009 - 16:21:00 | Sean Onipede

3 NLTKD students attended the last Black belt grading held in Derby last Sunday. They were put through their paces by Master Tony Sewell - 7th Dan, Master George Cockburn - 7th Dan, Mr Gordon Slater - 6th Dan, Mr Francis Plunkett - 6th Dan, Mr. Paresh Bhadeshia -5th Dan of the GTI and they were successful. Jessica Onipede, Daniel Connolly-Taylor and Kasper Grzeszczyk have shown great maturity and attitude long before there grading and have been a joy to teach and I am very proud of them all.

They will be formally awarded there certificates this Thursday, 15 October by Mr Gordon Slater, 6th Dan. Mr Slater is the South East Regional Co-ordinator of the GTI and was an ex-North London Taekwondo student under Mr. Taylor. Therefore I would like everyone to attend this Thursday lesson to join me in congratulating the 3 new Black belts.

Beach party

  Tuesday 14 July 2009 - 23:30:32 | Sean Onipede

We are organising a beach party at Southend on Sea for all Tae Kwon Do participants and their families on Sunday, September 6th. We will travel by train from Stratford leaving about 10am, returning to Stratford by 6.30pm. Train fare will be approx £8 per person as we are hoping to get a group discount. There will be additional discounts for families with more than 2 children. We would like to organise everyone bringing some food to share for a picnic. It should be great fun and we hope as many people as possible can come.
